February is a great time to start thinking about your spring and summer garden. Let us help you begin the process of deciding what crops to grow, how to amend your soil and tips to help you inventory your seeds. Instructors will guide you through the journey of garden planning and provide you with some tools to help you have a successful garden in 2018.

The Planning Your Spring & Summer Garden workshop will cover the following topics:

  • How to choose the location of your garden based on available water, sunlight and soil
  • Crops that grow well in spring and summer
  • Direct seeding vs. transplants
  • Fundamentals of square-foot gardening
  • Useful garden tools & resources

Bring your questions and ideas for this free workshop packed with practical garden plans, resources and more!

Part of this workshop may be held outdoors. We suggest wearing layers of clothing that are suitable for the weather that you do not mind getting dirty and closed-toed shoes.
