Global Entrepreneurship Week - Closing America’s Entrepreneurship Gap

12:00 PM - 1:00 PM

Event Details

According to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Equality of Opportunity Agenda  - Black Americans are underrepresented among entrepreneurs, and Black-owned businesses tend to have fewer employees and less revenue than white-owned firms. Black business owners struggle to access capital for their ventures, but there are action steps that can be taken to close the gaps for these companies. In this session, MiShon Landry, CDP owner of Inclusive Leadership Institute and Culture Consultants will discuss what can be done to create equitable access to capital for black business owners as well as discuss how our own unconscious biases might get in the way of our decision making. Participants will discuss the “why and how” behind  Inclusive + Equitable™ Leadership fostering growth, collaboration, and equitable outcomes.

About the Presenter: MiShon Landry, CDP is a Certified Diversity Professional and CEO of the Inclusive Leadership Institute and Culture Consultants located in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Culture Consultants is a strategic firm and the consulting arm of Inclusive Leadership Institute, which is designed to bridge the ever-increasing gap between Inclusion and Leadership.
