What to Expect when You're Expecting to Get Published with David Goodner
What happens from the time a new author gets representation until his book gets published? A lot of things nobody ever tells you. Children's book author David Goodner pulls back the curtian and shares what he learned when he sold Ginny Goblin is not Allowed to Open This Box and what he's learned since then.

David Goodner is a library cataloger and children's book writer in Arlington, Texas. David is represented by Stephen Barr at Writers House, and has sold two picture books to Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, and a three book series to Disney-Hyperion. His first book, Ginny Goblin Is Not Allowed to Open This Box, was published in 2018, followed by Ginny Goblin Cannot Have a Monster for a Pet in 2019. His next book, Kondo and Kezumi Visit Giant Island, will come out in the fall of 2020.

He reads everything from fantasy to mystery to popular science. He collects craft materials he’ll never use, musical instruments he doesn’t know how to play, and books on everything known to man. (Depending on who you ask, he either has way too many or not quite enough.)
